We’ve been asked several times where did BROSIX name come from. Here is the explanation from the founder Stefan Chekanov:
Well, in the days before Christmas 2005 me and my brother Svetoslav were thinking how to name our new software application. At that time our company name was “D-Bross” and at the same time my son was a fan of the “Asterix and Obelix” movies. So, we combined “D-Bross” with “Asterix” and got “Brosix”. That’s it, Brosix name was inspired by our company name and my son 🙂
Now, how to pronounce. Following the story, we pronounce it [bro’siks] / bro-six, like “Hey Bro!”
