Getting echoes during a voice and video call

When using the voice/video call we get annoying echo. We do not use headsets, but use webcams with mics and speaker systems. Is it possible to fix this?

Using speakers is very possible to produce echo and this reduces the sound quality.

We suggest to use headsets for voice and video calls.

 

Try these to reduce the echo when using speakers:

  • Check if echo cancellation is turned on. Go to menu Brosix-Settings-Plugins-Audio and Video.
  • Try to move the speakers far away from the microphone.
  • Use a unidirectional microphone that is capturing voice from one direction only.
